Art is not merely decoration. Sound is not merely background.
Mell Hippchën composes intentional visual and musical worlds in which perception, material, rhythm, language and experience can enter into dialogue.
A line can carry direction. A circle can hold a center. A sound can give a text a new rhythm of attention.
The artist’s original works often use axes, curves, circles, textured surfaces and shifts between open light and intense color. Gold, ivory, dark blue, black and crimson appear not as arbitrary decoration but as relationships between weight, attention, contrast and space.
Some works are autonomous paintings. Others develop as visual, sonic and written experiences. The choice of medium follows the artistic direction, not the other way around.
The role of music and the spoken voice
Mell Hippchën develops original lyrics, scenarios, musical directions and intentional sound experiences. Vocal performance can be part of the artistic presentation, and technology allows original texts to be interpreted by fictional performers. Sound therefore contributes to the method as a pedagogical and expressive material, alongside images, words, bodily awareness and reflective practice.
Human art direction and digital tools
The author chooses the themes, words, compositions, aesthetic direction and final presentation. AI-assisted processes may support audio production, interpretations, audiovisual scenes and other technical work. The difference between a human creator and a fictional digital voice is stated plainly rather than obscured.
Original works, editions and accompanying experiences
An original artwork is unique. A high-quality digital edition is a separate type of work, and an associated manual or music composition may provide an additional way of engaging with the visual piece. Their availability and reproduction permissions must be checked independently for each edition.
The images published on this website are credited to Mell Hippchën as artist and creative director. They are not open-source illustrations and should not be copied or republished without authorization.
The future English catalogue will identify original artworks, digital editions, licensed reproductions, intentional sound works and educational manuals without conflating their conditions of sale.
